Umiri

Wakaba-san. The script for the next drama has arrived.

Mutsumi

Thank you.

Umiri

It seems like quite an interesting role. A mysterious high school girl detective.

Umiri

It was based on a mystery novel, right?

Mutsumi

Yeah, I heard it's a bestseller. I've already read it.

Umiri

Impressive, you're already well-prepared.

Umiri

But... A detective story, huh.

Umiri

There was a time when I also admired the idea of being a detective.

Mutsumi

You do?

Umiri

Yeah, just a little though.

Mutsumi

For what part?

Umiri

It's pretty cool, isn't it?

Umiri

Not belonging to any public authority, yet staying true to their own principles and beliefs... And sometimes taking dangerous paths to reach the truth...!

Umiri

That's the part I admire.

Mutsumi

Hmm...

Mutsumi

Umiri, don't you do any acting?

Umiri

Huh?

Mutsumi

You could play a detective role too.

Umiri

My acting is...

Mutsumi

But you do act in the masquerades, don't you?

Umiri

You might be right, but...

Mutsumi

Want to give it a try? Right now.

Umiri

Hmm...

Umiri

I've seen through every single mystery.

Umiri

Too bad for you, culprit. Every piece of evidence here points to you.

Mutsumi

......

Umiri

Would you tell me just one more thing? Why? Why did you commit a crime like this?

Mutsumi

What could you...

Mutsumi

What could you possibly know!? A kid like you!

Umiri

Huh!?

Mutsumi

Betrayed by the ones I loved...! I've lost my family, my friends, even the hope to live! These feelings... how could you understand...!!

Mutsumi

That's why! It's a good thing that person is gone!

Umiri

....

Mutsumi

Next, your line.

Umiri

Huh, ahh...! Um, the next line is...

Are, are you okay!?

Umiri

Huh?

I heard loud voices coming from here... Is there any trouble?

Mutsumi

We were just practicing acting.

Huh...? Oh, I understand! Ahaha, I was wondering what was going on! Sorry for intruding.

Umiri・Mutsumi

...

Mutsumi

Okay, let's continue.

Umiri

No...

Umiri

Here's your script. Thank you very much.

Mutsumi

You're already done?

Umiri

Yes.

Umiri

It's clear I'm no match for a true actress after all.
